I love the drama of weather here. I mean, really...from 20 below zero to 95 degrees in a few short months. Never a dull moment. We don't have air conditioning in our house and I have to admit I kind of like it. We really feel the weather. We change where we sleep (downstairs), we change what we eat (even grilling can seem too hot), and we do everything we can to stay cool. (Don't get me wrong...if we had an air conditioner, it would probably be on.)
The water slide? Best $5 I ever spent!
And what's a hot day in the neighborhood without a lemonade stand? This was serious business for the kiddos' first entrepreneurial experience. We had 4 waver/yellers, one money man, a cup holder, a cup filler, an ice spooner, and a straw adder. We're talking real jobs.
Such hard work, some of us just need to sit and watch.
And wait for things to cool off a bit.
