One last birthday/half-birthday shebang.
I originally ordered the small BeBop ukelele for Isaiah's half-birthday, but when we got it I realized it wasn't a high enough quality for his discerning 4 1/2 year old ear. It sat there, waiting to be sent back. Well, the other day, while organizing the laundry room (I know...I should probably get a job), I rediscovered this old Baby Taylor guitar, given to me 15 years ago by my dear friend Bob when I started to play guitar. The small size helped me learn the chords with my little hands.
I took Isaiah on a surprise trip to the music store for some ultralight strings and a groovy purple strap. Miel got the uke. Off we go! We do a mean family Freight Train.
And a surprise for me . . .I got this banjo in my hands that I did not want to set down. My fingers have been twitching and itching ever since. This is how it happens. Another instrument to be mediocre at :)
Good thing my birthday is coming up . . .
